A briefing for accredited media will be held at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, 28 August, at the Estonia Concert Hall (entry through the concert hall entrance). The briefing will cover the arrangements and schedule for the memorial ceremony in greater detail. The participation of journalists, photographers and camera operators who will be covering the memorial ceremony on Saturday is required and strongly encouraged.
Key times on Saturday:
- 9:35 a.m. – The hearse will make stops for a moment of mourning in Viimsi, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Eesti Pank, the Ministry of Finance, the Chancellery of the Riigikogu (Parliament), and Stenbock House.
- 10:40 a.m. – The hearse arrives in front of the Estonia Concert Hall, followed by military honours.
- 11:00 a.m. – Public farewell at the Estonia Concert Hall. Everyone is welcome to come and pay their respects to Siim Kallas. Flowers may be brought instead of a wreath.
- 1:00 p.m. – State memorial service at the Estonia Concert Hall.
- 2:30 p.m. – Final farewell from the front of the concert hall; the public event concludes.
