Letter Hack
Are you a public sector employee whose work involves sending letters to people or businesses in Estonia? Do you feel that your communications do not achieve the desired result, or that the message is sometimes simply unclear? Would you like your letter to be more effective, clearer and more human?
Behavioural Science Toolkit for Green Behaviour Change
As part of a research project initiated by the Government Office, a deep and systematic approach was taken to understanding human behaviour in the context of the climate crisis. The project resulted in a framework for understanding the context in which people make decisions, as well as a wide range of solutions and international examples showing how sustainable choices can be made easier, more accessible, more convenient, more affordable and therefore more attractive. Human behaviour was studied in seven areas: supporting biodiversity, reducing energy consumption, sustainable mobility, reducing meat consumption, reducing food waste, extending the lifespan of products, and reducing packaging and improving separate waste collection. The project was carried out by the Centre for Applied Anthropology, the Praxis think tank, and researchers from Tallinn University and the University of Tartu, including anthropologists, sociologists, and experts in behavioural, educational and environmental psychology.
